I was at the Kroller Muller museum last month, when we drove down from Amsterdam en route to our next stop in Germany.
The collection of Van Gogh paintings is simply superb. It also has a few works by other Impressionists including Signac, Sisley, Seurat, Pissarro and I spotted a Monet too.
The option of riding a bike to the museum is definitely more engaging with little or no traffic and the back to nature feeling inside the vast Hoge Veluwe National Park.
But if you are short on time or energy, it makes sense to drive up to the museum. There is a large parking area walking distance away and a smaller and nearer parking area for physically challenged visitors.
Its a must visit, if you have already seen the Van Gogh museum at Amsterdam and want to see more of Van Gogh or if you want a great day out, combining the park and the paintings and the outdoor sculptures at the museum.
Do bear in mind that there are entry charges for both the park and the museum and a charge for your car too if you drive it inside the park, so if you are not spending some time in the park, you may feel that you are not getting the full value of your park ticket.
