The Rijksmuseum site says more tickets are available, but due to high demand the ticket office is closed. It says to try back later. Good luck.
That's been the case every time I've checked since about 4:30am Amsterdam time, which is when more tickets first became "available".
Hmmmm. I was checking this morning, I thought about 6 am Amsterdam time, and at that point it didn't show anything (just the old message about checking back on March 6th).
Looking now, I too get the message that the box office is closed. Well that is what happens when you have to work and can't sit on the computer looking for tickets all day I guess !
Early the website was cycling between the old message, an error message, the website being down for maintenance, etc. At first availability, I got as far as specifying that I wanted two tickets, clicked next and got an error message (I already have tickets, but wanted to see what they'd offer). After that, ticket sales were down every time I checked (which was not very often).
I was disappointed that they're not offering any more Friendships until Vermeer closes, especially after hinting they would. FWIW, that was my main focus.
At the moment, it's saying no tickets are available due to technical issues. You can't even buy regular museum tickets.
I was able to get as far as entering cc info, so looks like the earlier issues have been fixed.
They've extended opening times - last timeslot to book is now 21:30, i.e. 9:30 pm!
I got one late last night. I too got the screen Ticket office closed, just keep refreshing that page. Have your credit card ready. It look like there were several days with slots open. Their system is slow, of course, but the not on the screen indicates you will get a response before your date. Make sure to take a screen shot of the page when you are finished paying, as you get nothing in email
And my time is for 21:00
I had been trying and trying as well to get tickets to Vermeer exhibit. Yesterday afternoon around 3pm which would be 11pm in Amsterdam, I was able to get my tickets. It went straight to the ticket sale and checked out within 10 minutes. My email with tickets to print/download came that evening. Yay, finally! Keep trying!
The website message has been changed to "The Vermeer exhibition is definitively sold out. However, all of Vermeer's works can still be admired via the online exploration: Closer to Johannes Vermeer.".
Hi, everyone, we have just booked tickets and a tour with this company.

They have very good reviews online. The price is a bit steep, but this is a once-in-a-lifetime thing. And the price includes a tour of the rest of the museum with a guide, plus coffee and discussion with the guide.
Have you tried buying a museum membership? It’s €50 for a one-year membership. You don’t have to schedule a date and time to visit Vermeer.
The museum has stopped selling the museum membership, also called Rijksmuseum Friends program. They will resume selling once the Vermeer exhibit has ended.

Yes, they stopped selling the Friends memberships some time ago now.
