The educational experience at the Vermeer Centrum Delft was a terrific adjunct to our Rijksmuseum visit. The Centrum has scale reproductions of all of Vermeer’s works presented chronologically with historical information, a light studio explaining the various ways that Vermeer painted light, a display of paint making materials, techniques and supplies, plus a video about restoration. My husband and I agreed that it would have been preferable to visit the centrum first, before the Rijksmuseum, but it was still a great experience after we saw the Vermeer Exhibit.
