Van Gogh Museum

We are headed to Amsterdam in mid June. As I enjoy the works of Van Gogh, decided to buy tickets in advance for the museum. Went through the ticket buying process (or so I thought) but at the end of the day I have a charge to my credit cards for tickets but no email or other acknowledgement that I have actually purchased tickets. My inquiries to the ticket office have not resulted in a reply.

Would any others who have purchased tickets please chime in with their experiences.

I would be patient and give them a few days to respond, you have some time. If not, did you try calling them? They have a number for online ticket questions: 31 (0)20 570 5933.

If you still don't hear from them, call your credit card company and request that they get involved. If that still doesn't work, ask your credit card company to void the charge and rebook it again. I booked tickets last year and it worked fine. May it be possible that you entered the wrong email address? Either way, you should be fine.

Hi Mike,
I also purchased Van Gogh museum tickets 2 weeks ago for the last week of May and had no problem receiving the confirmation email with tickets within an hour of purchasing. Even a week later I have to email them back for changing the date of my tickets and have no problem at all. The museum emails me back within a day with my new tickets. May be your email is not correct that why you didn't receive any confirmation. I think you have to call them to sort out your tickets.

I called the helpline at the Museum and they told me to send an email with the details of the transaction. Since I have already done this, I'm not holding out much hope.
