Any recommendations on a unique/quaint B&B to stay at in Amsterdam (in a safe central area)? I will be a female solo traveler.
Thank you!

Thank you!
My favorite is Le Quartier Sonang which is run with love by Frank and Oki (she is Indonesian) and is in a safe, quiet, and lovely neighborhood that is central to everything. You can walk to parks (like the Vondelpark), restaurants, shops, museums (Anne Frank House, Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum, etc), the gorgeous Jordaan district with the canal and the flowers, and much more. All are short walks from the bed and breakfast. The beds are literally like sleeping on clouds and are unique to this place. There is a pretty courtyard. The marble bathroom floors are heated! Not only do they have the most comfy beds in Europe but at night you get free chocolates and there is a Nespresso machine in your room with plenty of varieties of coffees to try, replenished daily. As if this is not enough- you get breakfast in bed each morning, served by your host and hostess! You can even take home the comfy Coco-mat slippers. You will feel as if you are visiting good friends and they will gladly help you with anything and everything to help you explore the city, Also, as a female solo traveler, it is nice to have "family" in the form of Frank and Oki to help look out for your safety. It is a lovely place. Their website is www.lequartiersonang.nl/en
Thank you for the advice! Unfortunately that B&B is booked during the time I have planned to be there in Feb...
We loved the Eelhouse located in the beautiful Jordaan district. The hosts Vera and Jasper were wonderful. Vera brings a huge breakfast to your room every morning, with more than enough food left over so that you can pack a lunch for the road. There is a small frig in the room that is stocked daily with complimentary water, juice, wine and beer. The bed was incredibly comfy too. It's located about a 5-10 min walk from the Anne Frank house, and is in a very quiet and safe neighborhood. We walked the 20 minutes from the train station, but there is also a tram you could take.
As in most B&B's in Amsterdam, there are steep winding stairs to get to your room, but petite Vera gladly schleps your bags up for you, whether you ask or not! We were there in November and paid €110, so I'm sure your rate in February would be the same or less.
As a solo female traveler, I very much enjoyed spending only €60 at www.hotelbrouwer.nl. Don't steal my next dates - I want it Oct. 16-17 :)
