Transportation from Schipol airport to Amsterdam

What are the best ways to get from Schipol to hotels in Amsterdam? Staying at Grand Hotel Amrath

You don't include how much luggage you have, how physically fit, what time of day, or how many in your party. Your hotel is probably the best resource, and may include this info on their website.
Have a great trip!

9292.nl/en will show you the way. The Prins Hendrikkade bus stop is in front of the Grand Hotel Amrath.
So that is a train from the airport to Amsterdam Centraal station, then a short bus ride to the hotel. You could walk it from Amsterdam Centraal if you don't have a lot of luggage. Buses from Amsterdam Centraal are on the Ij side of the station, opposite the city side.

Late reply, but the Sprinter train from Schiphol to Amsterdam's central station is easy and cheap.

Sprinter is the name for a NS train intended for short distances and stops at all stations along the route (https://www.ns.nl/en/about-ns/trains-of-ns)..

If you are interested in the timetable of trains between Amsterdam and Schiphol and the prices, check the NS app. It will mention Sprinter or Intercity.

Note that the price of a train ticket in the Netherlands is based on distance, not on train type. For a given route Sprinter or Intercity are the same price. Difference is that Sprinter stops everywhere, and Intercity only larger stations. Because a Sprinter stops everywhere they use trainsets that accelerate well. Hence the name.

The Dutch Railways basically operate a nationwide subway. Just compare with the express and local services on the NY Subway...
