We are taking a river cruise in April. After we disembark, we are going to Bruges.
How much time should we allow to get to Amsterdam Centraal from the dock? Is it walkable? We want to stop at Schipohl to leave baggage. Is it reasonable for us to get a Thalys by 10:30 or is it better to leave in the 11:30 hour? Appreciate any suggestions/assistance

Why are you going to leave baggage at Schiphol? Why not leave it at Centraal?
Not sure what time your cruise gets in to know whether 10:30 or 11:30 is more doable. I haven't disembarked from a cruise ship in Amsterdam, but I think the docks are pretty close to train station. If not walk-able ...call a taxi?

1000 feet, less than a quarter mile, nice and level walkway along the Ij brings you to the ferry side of Centraal and the center walkway going to all the platforms. I guess you are returning direct to Schipol for the flight home. Don't stress out too much, maybe even the 12:30 Thalys so you're not running around checking your watch every 5 minutes. Things always take a little longer to accomplish than it seems like they should. If you end up ahead of schedule, relax in a cafe waiting for the train.
