transportation for Netherlands region

We are a group of 4 traveling to the Netherlands in April. We will have 4 days in Amsterdam area. Will be moving all around Amsterdam to visit the main sights: Van Gogh Museum, Rijksmuseum, Our lord in attic, anne frank, Rembrandt house to name a few. We will also be spending half days in Haarlem and Delft. We plan to use public transportation the whole time. Would it make sense to buy a multi day region pass or better to just pay as we go and tap in tap out with our credit cards? In Switzerland we bought multi day passes. In London we simply tapped in and out. Wondering what makes more sense for Netherlands. Thanks!

For Delft and Haarlem take a look at a day tourist ticket which costs €14.50 for the roundtrip ticket and all city transit ( trams, buses, etc) for one day.

One of the things I loved about the Netherlands is the ease of public transportation. Nothing beats just being able to tap in and out. That’s what I would do. No need to think about tickets or passes.

You will find it even easier than traveling in Switzerland.

Have a great trip!

We were in the NL spring, 2024. I agree with Carrie: tap, tap, tap. Don't make it more complicated.
Enjoy this beautiful area. Safe travels!
