Train from Antwerp to Amsterdam Airport

Where does the train arrive at the Amsterdam airport from Antwerp? We are planning to come in the evening before our flight. Want to stay over at a hotel near the airport...What hotel do you recommend? Thank you for your assistance. Barri

We just finished a few nights staying in the Schiphol area while transiting to England. We did the same last fall. This past trip we stayed at the Citizen M at the beginning. While the staff, general amenities and location are great, we weren’t thrilled with the room, which is a very specific layout unique to them. We found the space a bit too tight in terms of getting in and out of the bed (walls/window on 3 sides) and the toilet and shower set up were also very constrained. For our 3 nights coming back, we changed to the Hilton. The room was great and the staff excellent. It is a bit further to walk than the Sheraton on the covered walkway but still convenient. Schiphol is a fabulous airport to transit through and the train station right there is very convenient.

I believe you can get a direct train from Antwerp to Schiphol without going through Amsterdam CS. The train does stop in Rotterdam.

With regard to the train. Should we book tickets for the train from Amsterdam city to Antwerp in advance? And if so what is the web site we should use? How far in advance?
On the return, we will be coming in from Brussels by train and then transfer to train in Antwerp to Schiphol. Again, should we book in advance? What website should we use?
Thank you in advance for your help in this matter.

Book those trains either on www.b-europe.com or www.nsinternational.com

And book the whole trip at once. If you are arriving in Brussel by train and continuing to Antwerpen you buy a ticket from where your trip starts to Antwerpen, it is not necessary to split those bookings.

Will their be easy access to luggage storage on the train? Will we be able to sit where we can keep an eye on the luggage?

There is of course place for luggage on the train, and no, you do not need to worry about someone being interested in your dirty laundry.
