Hello everyone! We will be visiting Amsterdam in March. Rick's book says that towns outside of Amsterdam tend to be dreary, wet and cold. Does anyone have a suggestion of ONE or TWO places that they've been that are worth it! I find it hard to believe that Amsterdam in the winter is the only place to see. Thank you in advance!!

The Hague has excellent art museums, and if it's not raining, Madurodam is fun. Delft would be as nice or nicer than Amsterdam unless it's pouring rain. Rotterdam is interesting.

If you visit Amsterdam the last week of March, the Keukenhof is open from March 24th .
