shuttle transportation from Schiphol Airport to Amsterdam Cruise Port

There are 6 of us travelling from Schiphol Airport to the cruise port and wonder about the most economic way to do this. We may have 4 large suitcases and 2 medium size ones with carryons or back packs. We are aware that we could take the train into the city from the airport and then either go by tram or walk from there to the port. Any other options? Thanks, Rita

There aren't a ton of cruisers frequenting this forum (some, but not a lot). In your place I would look at cruise critic. Personally, with 6 people and lots of luggage, I would not try to save $$ by taking the train, definitely splurge for a taxi. This is one shuttle service where you can get an idea of the cost for 6+luggage.

You can take the train from Schipohl to the cruise port, which is about a five minute walk from Amsterdam Centraal Station. If you are tired and jetlagged, you need to splugr on a taxi service. Might try Super Shuttle. You can pay ahead and they will meet you at the airport ground transportation.

From the station to the cruse port is a five-minute walk only for real athletes (without luggage). More like twenty, but doable. We took a taxi which cost 20 euros. The driver tried to discourage us, pointing to the ship down the street, but we insisted because of our bags. Not the smartest economic move, to be sure.

I'd say $69 for six people and luggage from Schiphol is a major bargain.
