Should we take a 2 hour canal boat tour?

Captain Dave is sold out, so we're looking for an alternative option other than Damm Boat Guys. We were considering Flagship Amsterdam which looks nice, but is only. a one-hour tour. We were hoping for a longer tour that would take us to some additional, more out of the way areas, but maybe that's not worth it? Any advice appreciated!

I have been to Amsterdam twice, once in 1982 and just last year. Both times, I did a canal boat tour (1 hour).
It was OK, but I can't imagine doing it for two hours.

I would personally be ok with a one hour tour. I’m not sure what time of year you are going, but one alternative for exploring canals on your own is to rent a pedal boat.

I liked the idea of a canal boat tour. When I was in Amsterdam in July 2019 I did a canal boat tour. I forgot which company. I bought the ticket from the hostel I was staying at. One or two inconsiderate shmuks were smoking on the boat just before the tour departed. I don't remember whether they kept smoking during the tour, and I can't stand the smell of cigarette smoke. I guess some smokers think that it is ok to smoke any place that is "outside" without regard to who else is nearby and without regard to other people not wanting to inhale the fumes. Hopefully your experience will be better than mine.

Mike, I agree regarding the smokers. We were in Amsterdam in August and had to deal with walking down the street downwind from pot smokers. That was even worse.
