I’m looking for suggestions.
We arrived in Amsterdam 11 days ago. Our suitcases were not received. After making many phone calls and being on hold for hours the suitcases have been delivered to a hotel in Den Haag, the Netherlands.
We are on a two-week Viking River cruise (currently heading for Passau, Germany). My problem is where and how to have the suitcases delivered.
Option 1. Is have the suitcases delivered to the ship. There would be a 5 or 6 hour window for the suitcases to be at the port on the specific day.
Option 2. Would be to have the suitcases delivered to Budapest where we will be staying for four nights.
Option 3. Would be to have the suitcases sent home to the USA.
Does anybody have ideas about a shipper out of Den Haag that can help and the cost?
Thank you.
You can't be the first passenger to have lost luggage. Have you asked someone on the ship what they suggest?
What options has the airline offered?
I thought the airline was responsible for getting the suitcases to you, not just a hotel you are no longer at. Did you request them to be sent there?
My choice would be Budapest.
Option 1. Make the airline work their butt off to appease YOU. I would also read your airlines contract of carriage to ensure they honor every promise the made to you. Good luck.
The airline should be covering the cost of this. Which airline, and what did they say about this?
