After a week on a barge/ bike cruise in Netherlands- Im taking the train for a week in Paris! -I am hoping to get to Giverny this time-Ill be there in July. any tips for this side trip? Any unusual things to see/ do in Paris? Would a Paris Card be a good investment for a week?
Also -for charging my iphone -is the same adapter good for both France and Netherlands?
It is the same adapter for those two countries.
I haven't heard of the Paris Card and I didn't find it on Google. There's something called the Paris Pass, which most here would say is not a good value. But the Paris Museum Pass could be a good investment if you want to see enough of the sights it covers. Besides potentially saving you money, it saves you time by letting you skip ticket-buying lines (but you still have to go through security lines). Figure out which places you want to visit, and compare their ticket prices with the pass cost for however many days you choose. You can buy it in Paris at covered attractions and elsewhere. Don't enter a start date until your first visit to a place it covers.
Here is a good source re Giverny, including how to get there. I haven't done the trip myself but I'd like to. Probably best to go first thing in the day before it gets too crowded.
