We arrive in Rotterdam by train mid-morning on Saturday early April.
Looks like there is a market there.
Is it worthwhile visiting?
Any others close by that we should visit.
Leiden has a Saturday market that is well recommended, but a little over half an hour away.
Delft would be much closer, 15 minutes, maybe less. The Saturday market there is more varied, with antiques and a flea market.
Rotterdam is known for it's huge Markthal, an indoor market and open everyday. Very modern and not directly to compare with the traditional outdoor markets like in Delft and Leiden of anywhere else. The Markthal is as far as I know food only and like more buildings in Rotterdam worth to visit for it's unique architecture and some 20 minutes walking from Rotterdam Centraal train station.
If you are interested in tradional markets I would do what Paul suggests.

Our experience has been in the spring, tulip time, two different years. We do most of our own cooking and get a lot of stuff at this market. Large bunches of herbs (versus the small plastic boxes at the grocery stores), bags of dried herbs and spices, and all sorts of fresh produce. Oh, and the flowers are lovely but go very quickly. Saturday's is the larger of the two days. Nearby (you can see it in the photo) is the Markthal, in which is a nice Albert Heijn grocery store and an Asian store, which I believe is called simply Asian Grocery. It also houses a lot of restaurant options.
Smiling as I remember.......... I'd watch out the apartment window, and when the strawberry man was all set up, I'd send Denis downstairs for breakfast. So yeah, we'd both heartily recommend it.
I forgot to add, some of the buildings in that general area are worth a look, if architecture interests you. The library is pretty cool.
