Take a riverboat from Rotterdam to see the 19 windmills at Kinderdijk. They are in their original locations and a beautiful sight to see.
You can tour the interesting modern architecture in Rotterdam.

One of the world's greatest harbours can be explored by tour boat. To prepare, look for YouTube videos about the marine enterprises.
The centre of Rotterdam, bombed by bombed by both sides in WW2, was rebuilt by modern architecture of startling shapes and colours. Strolling around can induce dizziness.
The very old Pilgrim church, where the pilgrims to North America set sail, is in one of the few areas not harmed by bombs. Nearby a brewpub called Pelgrim is a pleasant place for refreshments. No, I can't explain the different spellings.
