We are arriving at Amsterdam Centraal from Paris on the Thalys to take an Avalon Waterways Rhine River cruise. Docking location won't be known until shortly before the start of the cruise
Avalon indicates there are SIX possible Amsterdam docks with the most out-of-the-way being Coenhaven Westerhofd SB (AMCO), which seems to be reachable only by taxi. Is that correct?
Two are on De Ruijterkade and are each just a 4 minute walk from Amsterdam Centraal- fingers X'd.
Veemkade, Javakade, and Westerdoksdijk seem doable by tram and a walk, but perhaps a taxi would be better? Any thoughts on these locations?

I'm not sure this is helpful, at all, but in case it is. I did similar research for our Viking cruise which ended in Amsterdam. Most of the time they are supposed to dock by Amsterdam Centraal. Well, of course, ours didn't. We docked somewhere in which the only possible transportation was cab. We shared a cab with another couple to our lodging in Amsterdam.

You can plan any journey in Amsterdam on the GVB website- GVB being the city public transit operator
