The cheapest way for a family of 3, ages 70, 52 and 17 to gain admission to the Rijksmuseum for 1 day is for the family to go to the museum before the 17 year old turns 19 otherwise the 17 your old will have to pay the same 17.50 euros to enter as all adults 18 in over.

But there all kinds of passes that offered by the tourist board allow discounts if you plan to be in Amsterdam taking public trans or visiting other musuems
