Is it correct that tickets to the Rijksmuseum purchased online are neither date nor time specific? In other words, if I purchase tickets now, will we be able to use them while in Amsterdam this September? Thank you.
Yes: tickets are not for a specific date or time slot (like the Van Gogh Museum). See this information on the Rijksmuseum site (scroll down to »Ticket sales«).
I'd also suggest you download the Rijksmuseum app. It is excellent to use while you are in the museum. I love that it has a feature if you are "lost" because, yes, in big museums, I HAVE gotten turned around, lol!

That feature would come in very handy in almost any big museum - I hope more museums have apps that incorporate it!
I'll bet the museum staff will welcome it too - they must spend a good part of their day directing lost visitors.
Harold, I was taking a break in the museum so was scrolling thru the app and nearly burst out laughing when I noticed it. So funny and yes, it had my accurate location! I don't think the Louvre has that feature but it should and also should have one on "how to get to XX from here"!
Really needed the "lost" button at the Vatican Museums....spent hours, never did find the Laocoon!
I'll agree with the other folks about getting lost here, it is definitely a confusing layout, and we accidentally "exited" the museum twice into the main lobby because the two wings are not fully connected to one another.
