We hear there are fraudulent tours in Amsterdam. We plan to go to the Rijks Museum but there are no human guided tours in the museum itself. We found one ion the Trip Advisor website. Can we consider this legit? Thank you.
TA tours have the advantage of having reviews with them. How do the reviews look?
I can highly recommend Context Travel. Their tours are pricey, but I've never had a bad guide with them, including on the Rijksmuseum tour, which I did 2 years ago with three friends and will repeat this April with a different friend. The company uses the term "docents" for guides, and their docents have Masters level or higher degrees. They have some group tours of the Rijksmuseum, and they also offer private tours. https://www.contexttravel.com/cities/amsterdam/tours/rijksmuseum-tour-crash-course
I don't know where you heard there are no human tours in Rijksmuseum, as their web page shows multiple options (select "guided tours"): https://www.rijksmuseum.nl/en/whats-on
You don't need a tour guide for the museum.
