Recommendation for good, not too touristy, canal boat tour.

Ricks book only has the hop on hop off, or quirky party boat. Does anyone have a recommendation for a 1-2 hour tour with a really scenic route and interesting commentary?

We visited Amsterdam in 2019. Our B & B host recommended Stromma. It was a 75 min. Canal tour that started & ended at the Rijksmuseum. It included a personal audio. The route was wonderful on a warm September day. We did a lot of walking in Amsterdam. As an alternative we were very pleased to see Amsterdam from the water! It was a great introduction to this amazing city. https://www.stromma.com/en-nl/amsterdam/

Hi Andrea, Depends what you like, but we went on a tour with "Those Dam Boat Guys" recommended by our hotel, which we liked. It is a small company and does not have a recorded audio, but rather you are on a small boat with the guide and other passengers. Our guide was very friendly and we had a great conversation about the culture and politics as well as commentary on the sights we were seeing. We did the evening tour and it was just the two of us with 3 young ladies from Denmark. To get an idea about the boat size I would say there was only room for about 2 or 3 other pax. (this was about 5 years ago)

Also it was BYOB, which we did share with the guide. That may or may not be your thing. :p)
