quickest and most expensive will be taxi - door to door. Even the 300 bus can't do that.

I refuse to consider uber.

Depends where in Haarlem you need to be and when you are travelling during the day. The 300 bus is the cheapest (about 5.50 euro) direct option and takes some 35-40 minutes. As mentioned by others, https://9292.nl/en is a good travel planner.

The bus can actually be faster with its own bus lane during rush hour. Outside rush hour in the morning and and evening, taxi is the fastest option and will cost around 60-65 euro.

depends where in haarlem you're staying. from bus station you still have to walk to city center with luggage. we have an envelope with euros we may need or for things like this (taxis)or add in our travel plans. not worth sweating the small stuff or stress. like the door to door service, since in new city, new language cant understand.
don't forget to eat poffertjes, we had ours in haarlem city center at a popup cart

Update: took an Uber. 16 minutes and 36 euros later and we were at the center of town. It was a Monday evening so many places were closed but it was still lovely to walk around and see the town and canals.
