Hello! I was hoping someone could clear up some confusion I have. I was reading the guide book and saw that museumkaart is available for 31 days and as a tourist I could utilize this. However I have also read on several websites that it is only available to Dutch residents. I plan on going to the Van Gogh, Anne Frank's House, and Rijksmuseum. I am hoping someone will share their experience with this card. Thank you!

You're fine. Its available for tourists for 31 days but for residents for a year.

To clear this issue: the 1-year validity Museumkaart is a card with a passport photo to counter abuse (several people using the same card). That card needs to be delivered, and that's only done to an address in the Netherlands. The temporary card is for every one.
