Can’t find mention of Portuguese Synagigue in RS Netherlands tour book. We are planning our trip to Amsterdam and want to make sure we visit it and attend a candlelit concert there. Where is it? Near what other sites do we can plan our walking tour.

It is at the eastern side of the historical centre, as shown on this - zoomable - map.
Nearby attractions are the Rembrandthuis (in the Jodenbreestraat) and the Hermitage Museum (on the Amstel river).

Located near the Botanical Gardens, not far from Artis (Amsterdam zoo). The Dutch Resistance Museum and the National Holocaust Museum are nearby.

Odd that the previous posters didn't mention that it is directly across the street from the Jewish Museum:)
Both sites are excellent and discounted combo tickets can be purchased at the JM.
