Parking in Amsterdam

After reading through this forum and spending a lot of time to learn about parking a car when visiting Amsterdam, I thought I'd share this low-cost option for others looking for info. The P + R lots run between 6-13 Euro per day if you use public transportation from those lots into and out of the city center area. The map at this site shows what is meant by the city center area which I found very helpful along with an updated listing of how many spaces are available at each lot. You use your own OV chip card or regular paper public transport cards. We plan to buy the GVB transport tickets when we get there (this site also states which lots offer this) for a total of $7 for the three of us. If anyone has experience using these lots and tips or info to share, I'd appreciate it.

I found this video helpful in understanding how the P + R lots work:

This website could also be helpful. It includes a searchable map by rate. It also offers info on disabled parking and electric charging points in Amsterdam. https://www.amsterdam.nl/parkeren

This video also shows how to use the map on the above site to find free parking on Sundays and during off hours. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YhV8Ne0drfc
