OV chipcart or iAmsterdam card? Plan to travel to The Hague and Rotterdam from Amsterdam

I will be in Amsterdam for 3 days in late June. I will be going to Anne Frank's house and maybe a couple other museums and will also leave to travel to Rotterdam and The Hague. What would be the best card to buy to utilize the public transportation system in and out of Amsterdam and possibly still get admittance to some museums? I am not a big museum person and am hoping to mostly see the sites.

Thanks so much in advance.

The OV Chipkaart is only practical with a few day trips out of the city. Buy separate tickets, which you do at the station (from a machine or at the window). Assuming you'll combine Rotterdam and The Hague, buy a day return ticket to Rotterdam: you can break your journey in The Hague.
Look at the website of the iAmsterdam Card to assess whether that is a good offer for what you intend to do. I have my doubts. In case the Van Gogh Museum is on your list, I understand there are issues with using the iAmsterdam Card for their compulsory timed entry.
A three-day GVB pass for the public transport in Amsterdam costs you EUR 19. It is probably somewhat cheaper to buy separate tickets, but a pass is less hassle and worth the limited extra expense. On the other hand, Amsterdam has a compact centre and walking is the best way to enjoy it all.
