We will be spending a week in the Netherlands beginning May 7. We want to stay in 1 quiet apartment the whole time - with scenic views/shops close by and accessible to train or bus day trips. We welcome suggestions on where to stay and visit. Keukenhof vs. Noordoost polder for tulips? Thank you.

If you want to see the tulips and you won’t get here before May 7, your only chance is the Keukenhof. The tulips in the vast flower fields in the Noordoostpolder and other bulb flower producing regions, will be cut off by then. The Keukenhof will most likely be past its prime, but the gardeners of the Keukenhof will do their best to try and keep flowers on display until the garden closes for the season on May 11, 2025.
If the purpose of your trip is to see the tulips, you should aim to be here sometime during the last 2 weeks of April.
