Netherlands Entry Requirements

I am traveling to Amsterdam next month. I am curious as to what documents I need at passport control? I have read information from the Dutch embassy and corona related websites. However, I am a bit confused. For instance, what is considered “fully vaccinated”, in the Netherlands? Do I need to be boosted as well? Those of you who have traveled there recently, what was your experience like? From my understanding the corona pass is long gone, correct?

There is still an entry ban in place for travellers from outside the EU/Schengen. An exception is made for various reasons, one of is for fully vaccinated visitors. The Netherlands explains quite clearly what they consider to be fully vaccinated here; https://www.government.nl/topics/coronavirus-covid-19/visiting-the-netherlands-from-abroad/requirements-for-proof-of-vaccination
Bottomline; your vaccinations expire after 270 days. If you haven’t received a booster dose, you’re not considered to be fully vaccinated and aren’t eligible to enter the Netherlands from outside the EU/Schengen.

Greg,

Dutch_Traveler’s post is correct. I entered Netherlands by ferry last week and I had the following documents at the ready:

-Vaccine card (original, in a plastic sleeve to protect)
-A 2-page Netherlands form the ferry company stated was required to be completed (essentially, a form in English listing out the dates of my vaccinations with my signature). I am not sure if airlines require that or not, but they will let you know.

Upon going through passport control, they never asked me to show anything (other than my passport obviously). I also wasn’t asked to show or declare anything Covid related on my return this weekend from AMS airport. Technically, I believe you are required to show your vaccination card if asked but I doubt anyone will bother to call you out. In my 4 days there recently, I would estimate mask wearers were about 1% wherever I went. Still, I am vaccinated and boosted and always had my vaccine card tucked in my pocket to make sure my trip was uninterrupted should a border official or Covid policeman tap me in my shoulder.

I arrived in the Netherlands on Sunday. All I needed to show upon arrival at AMS was my passport. Before boarding my flight from the US, the gate agent viewed my passport and CDC card to verify that I was vaccinated and boosted. That was it.

I flew there two weeks ago and as was stated above, all I needed was a current / boosted CDC card to get on the plane and at passport control.
