At the risk of coming across as ageists, would the NDSM Werf be a place to spend a couple hours while we're in Amsterdam? We are not exactly emeriti but we do get discounts on coffee at McDonalds. From what I’ve read, this is a “happening” place, but most of the photos I've seen of NDSM make it appear to be one giant flea market, pavement and more pavement, and a lot of warehouse accoutrements—perhaps a counterpoint to the architectural goings on like the Borneo Sporenburg (where we’re also planning to visit). Maybe the “happening” at NDSM begins about midnight ?
