We will be using the Museumkaart in Amsterdam in May. Our first time to use the card will be at the VanGogh museum. We would like to avoid this busy place for pick up. We saw online that you could pick it up at the Amsterdams Uitburo location at the Leidseplein. There is no address given, just a location shown on a map. Has anyone used this pickup location? How easy was it to find?
Google maps marks it as "Permanently Closed".

I would just pick it up at the VanGogh museum.
There should not be a long line and they usually move fairly quickly.
Where are you staying? There may be someplace nearby where you can pick it up - a smaller museum. You don’t even have to visit the museum; I got mine at the New Church on Dam square. No line.
Thanks for letting me know that the Amsterdams Uitburo location is closed. Can you just pick up a Museumkaart at a museum without using it at that location? We are staying near the Museum of Bags and Purses. I’m thinking that there would not be much of a line to purchase a Museumkaart. But I don’t want to use 1 of my 5 admissions for this museum.
Yes, you can pick it up at a museum without using up one of your admissions.
Thank you to everyone for answering my questions. We’ll stop by the Museum of Bags and Purses to purchase the card.
