I will be spending some days in Delft before going to Amsterdam. Where can I purchase and use the Museumkaart in Delft?
Thank you!
You can purchase the Museumkaart at any museum where it is accepted.
This website lists all the museums.
http://www.dutchmuseums.com/museumcard.php
You can sort or filter by location to find the participating museums in Delft.
That site seems not to be completely up to date. There is an official Museumkaart site at https://www.museumkaart.nl, but it is in Dutch, and the list of participating museums doesn't seem to be sortable or filterable.
Thank you! Excellent information.
I also found this web site with information on locations to use the Museumkaart:

It is not totally true that all participating museums sell the Museumkaart: the small ones often don't. In Delft use the municipal museum Prinsenhof to get your card. Besides you have the small house-museum Tetar van Elven.
While you're in Delft consider a half-day trip to Schiedam: 10 mins away. Somehow almost fully off the visitors' radar, it is really a nice historical city. Once famous for its gin production, it has of course a Jenevermuseum and a windmill museum, both with your Museumkaart.
Thank you! I’ll look into that side trip.
Mike B. - The link in your reply relates to the Museumkaart that is only available to the Dutch people. I was under the impression that the Museumkaart available to non-residents is only good for museums in Amsterdam. I would love to be wrong.
The card can be purchased online only by Dutch residents. Anyone can buy it at one of the museums. Note that not all museums which accept the card also sell it.
Thanks for clearing that up!
I would love to be wrong
You are wrong. The temporary Museumkaart (valid for 1 month) can be bought by everyone and is valid nationwide at some 400 museums. The watershed between locals and foreigners comes with the »permanent« card with the 1 year validity. That is a plastic card with a passport photo. The procedure to get that one is aimed at people having residence in the Netherlands.
