For travelers whom have visited Rijksmuseum, Anne Frank House, and Van Gogh museum, would it be necessary to make advanced reservation if I am visiting in late November? RS book suggest booking 2 months in advance, maybe during high travel season? I am trying to maintain schedule flexibility and not commit too much in advance. Thank for sharing your experience in advance.
Rijksmuseum: Download the app and buy your tickets thru it so it's easily stored. I just looked at the ticket site and there are still tickets left for tomorrow, Sunday 18th so you will be OK with a last minute on this one. I do recommend you go ahead and buy online so you don't have to stand in line at the museum. In past visits I've been surprised at how many were standing in line when there is free WIFI in the museum and they could easily and more quickly have bought that way!

Van Gogh: Yes, buy ahead. I just went and looked at a random date in November and I see that some of the times are showing only "some" tickets available instead of being marked "tickets available". There are, however open times for visits during next week so you may be able to wait until a week ahead to purchase. There is no ticket purchase at the museum, you must buy online. There is not an app for this museum but buy directly from the Museum site. You can monitor the weeks ahead of your visit to see how fast they are filling but if this is an important site for you I'd commit to a time. It is a wonderful museum.
Anne Frank Huis: I haven't been here in years so not sure how quickly they sell out.
I have done all three. The Ann Frank house you need to reserve in advance for sure and like now. I showed up at the Rijsmuseum without a ticket 8 years ago and waited an hour with all the other unprepared to get in in May same thing with the Van Gogh in January 2016.
We were at Anne Frank House on 8 December 2019. We booked the 9am slot and it was very busy. I didn’t check back to see if it was booked out, but I expect so. I was a bit surprised at how busy everything was in Amsterdam, Vienna and other cities in late November- early Dec. But then we hadn’t been to Europe since the 90s. Schonbrunn Palace was like shuffling through a sardine tin.
Tickets for the Anne Frank house for November will go on sale on Tuesday October 4. It’s advisable to buy them as soon as they become available. https://www.annefrank.org/en/museum/tickets/
