What days and times of day are the Rijks and Van Gogh museums most crowded? Is there a "best day" to visit from a crowds perspective? Thanks.

Late opening evenings should be less busy, one or two days per week. In general for any sightseeing, I tend to believe that lunchtime, around 13:00, can experience a lull, since people want to eat.

Certain times of the year, the Van Gogh museum is open on Friday evenings. They usually have a small band set up and sell wine. It's a pretty relaxing experience and the crowds are light.
