Morning in Amsterdam

Cruise ship arrives at 8 a.m. on a Saturday. Train to Paris at 1:30 p.m. Any suggestions on a morning tour that will drop us off at Airport (with luggage). Thanks!

Sorry for the confusion. We are taking the Eurotrain from Amsterdam Airport not Central Station. Looking forward to hearing suggestions. Thank you.

The cruise port of Amsterdam is close to the central train station. You can walk or take the tram from the cruise terminal to the train station, store your luggage in a locker and venture into the city. Canal cruises leave from right in front of the train station.

Sorry Dutch Traveler for not giving you all the pertinent information. We are arriving by shp at the IJmuiden port which I unerstand is 1/2 hour from Amsterdam Airport (Eurotrain). Ideally, we would be picked up at the port with out luggage and have the driver takeus for a car tour and drop us off at the airport for the train at 1:30. Do you know of any such driver/tour that would fit our purposes?
Thank you.

Welcome Pickups offers a 2 hour sightseeing tour and it appears they will pick you up at the IJmuiden terminal (enter the address on the pricing page) but it's unclear if they'll take you back to the airport (you'd have to contact them). I have no experience with their tours but I have used the company for airport transfers. I'd note though that the tour is basically the outside of buildings (e.g. Van Gogh and Rijksmuseum) and you wouldn't probably have time to actually visit. I'm not sure it's a great option or fair to Amsterdam, to be honest.

I'm a little unclear - are you taking Eurostar to Paris, starting from Schiphol Airport? I have not been on a cruise but know that the disembarkation process can take some time, so whatever you do that will cut into your time. You also need to be at the train station at least 30 minutes ahead I believe. I personally might consider instead taking the train to Haarlem, storing luggage at the train station, and take a nice stroll around town and then take the train to the airport.

Thank you so much for your suggestion of Welcome Pickups. Yes, we are catching the Eurostar train to Paris from Amsterdam Airport. The prospect of spending so many hours in the airport as we disembark the ship early, is very unappealing especially dragging around our luggage. :-(

I checked Eurostar schedule and they do not stop at Schipol Airport. Eurostar from Amsterdam to London leaves from Amsterdam Central Station. We will be taking it in late April.

The Eurostar from Amsterdam to Paris, which was formerly called Thalys, definitely does stop at Amsterdam Airport train station.

Yes, my ticket reads from Amsterdam Airport to Gare du Nord. The train initiates at Central Station with a stop at the Airport.
