Mercure Hotel in Amsterdam

We have stayed a Mercure Hotel in Erfurt Alstadt. Enjoyed our accomodations there.

I see there are several Mercure Hotels in Amsterdam. Recommendation about this hotel?
Of the different locations which Mercure Hotel would work best to travel to the museum district, Dam Square, and do the Jordaan Walk?

Thank-you!

Mercure is a brand of the Accor hotel chain, biggest in Europe Its operations include Ibis on the budget and Fairmont on the luxury scale in North America. I expect Mercure to fall somewhere in between.

Thank-you so much for your reply about Mercure Hotels. Good to know what brands are within their chain. Will check out this hotel in Amsterdam.

There is also a Mercure near Sloterdijk station, outside of city center, but only a few minutes into Amsterdam Centraal. I have stayed in the area a few times, it is very handy for both Amsterdam and towns outside the city, plus room rates go down quite a bit over rates in the city center.

I've stayed in the Accor hotel brands as well. It tends to be the first hotel chain I look at when researching my trip.

The Ibis brand is a budget-focused hotel that is a reliable, clean, modern, yet basic place. In the US, the Copley Square Fairmont in Boston is beyond luxurious! I've stayed there twice and loved it. The Mercure hotels I've stayed in are nowhere near the Fairmont but well above the Ibis.

On my next 2+ week trip, I will stay at some very nice places and balance my spending by staying at an Ibis for a few days. You can't go wrong with them, but you'll never feel pampered!

By the way, when I stay at an Ibis, I include the breakfasts. They tend to be rather nice for a budget stay.

The more I travel, the more I think hotel location is key. Enjoy your trip!

Going to try an Ibis hotel for part of the trip. Sounds like it could be a good, safe choice.

We stayed in the Mercure Hotel in Montmartre once and I remember it was the best breakfast buffet I have ever had. Ever. I don't know if there is such a breakfast at other Mercure hotels, but it alone was worth the stay.
