I usually travel with one bag I easily manage myself. I am helping out some friends and will arrive with 3 suitcases that I need to get from the international arrivals hall to the airport Hilton. What sort of luggage assistance might be available? Are there those metal carts for rent?

From the arrivals hall to the Amsterdam airport Hilton is a short walk, and yes there are luggage carts available.
Suggest that you check with the hotel - they may offer some sort of concierge service to assist you with the transfer.
Thank you for your reply. I did mean Schiphol airport. Your suggestions are good ideas. I never travel with excess luggage so I am a little concerned about how it will work out. I feel better after reading your response.
The luggage carts at Schiphol are free (it's a totally civilized country! I wish they were free in the US).
