Could someone please recommend a hotel in Amsterdam for a week at Christmas this year? It's not my first time in Amsterdam, but it's my wife's. I thought of staying at a hotel near the Olympic Stadium, The July Twenty-Eight, but wonder if it might be better to stay closer to the City Centre. Thank you!

There are hundreds of hotels in Amsterdam that might be better than a hotel all the way out near the Olympic stadium, but without any idea of what you’re looking for and what you’re willing to spend, it’s impossible to give you any meaningful advice.
Please help us help you by providing a bit more information.

It's only two of us. We're both over 55 but still mobile. My wife wants to see all the museums and the Anne Frank House. We will also take a day trip to Delft and also a trip to Zaanse Schans. The July hotels are interesting because they are like little apartments, and they charge additionally to daily breakfast and bicycle rental. There is also the July - Boat & Co. hotel which is located just northwest of the city centre. Our budget - well, we can go as much as $2500 for the week. And the only thing we really want is a king size (large double) bed and a Nespresso machine in the room. Otherwise, pretty flexible.
