Any recommendations? I'm looking for something under $140 (breakfast excluded). This is for late July, so I'd want to avoid an unairconditioned top floor room--but I don't require air conditioning as long as it is not especially hot and has a window that can be opened. Thanks!
Remember that canals breed mosquitos , and open windows in Europe don't have screens. I'd recommend AC!
Not very historic, but I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express, about a block from the museum, not a bad walk from the main train station, and breakfast is included. Prices vary with demand, but you should be able to do your price target.
Central Den Haag has a nice array of restaurants and shops, a pretty lively scene, mostly pedestrian areas.
