Hi. Wondering if anyone can recommend restaurants in Amsterdam? We've already made reservations at Restaurant Blauw and The Pantry, which are about the top of our price range. Looking for variety. There are good suggestions here in the Forum, but many are dated and I'm wary of relying on them. Thanks! Alan in VA
I just added some reviews a couple of weeks ago from our trip last month, so take a look at those.
The Pantry is one that we went to and it was very good! Service was excellent, warm and inviting, and the food and drinks were excellent. You definitely need reservations as we saw so many people get turned away.
We really enjoyed The Seafood Bar at Spui 15. We had dined at Restaurant Blauw the night before (which was also good) and the restaurants were a nice contrast in fun dining experiences.
Thank you, mikliz97 and Lisuza!
Another vote for The Pantry and the Seafood Bar (I ate at the one near Vondelpark).
Also:
Buffet van Odette at 598 Prinsengracht
AMOI Indoesian restaurant (not traditional Rijsttafel but very good)
Thank you, CD from DC
I'm trying some of these suggested restaurants at the end of April. Thank you!
has anyone been to Klein Brada, Max, Cafe de Jaren? Im thinking of these for dinners. thanks sue
Wherever you have dinner, save room for a slice of apple pie at Winkel 43.
Another vote for The Pantry. We ate there 2x during our visit. Try the smoked eel, it’s an appetizer and was surprisingly good.
Luna is fantastic!
Drop by Winkel 43 for appeltaart (Papeneiland Cafe also had nice appeltaart as does Holtkamp - appelpunt - near Rijksmuseum).
