I have ticket and plan to gö tomorrow. What's the best time to see the garden and how long does one usually stay there?
I like to get there before lot of the caches arrive, and I am usually there around 3 to 4 hours.
Go very early or late. The gardens are open until 7:30 (last entry 6), if you arrive around 3pm the tour groups are on their way out and you will practically have the place to your self by 4 pm. I did it this way last year and out of three visits to the gardens this was my best experience!
Just don't go mid-day. The indoor exhibits, which are some of the most impressive, can get so crowded that you can barely move through.
May I join in and ask, would going to Haarlem in the morning and Keukenhof in the late afternoon work just fine then?
Kimberly - I think that sounds like a good plan. We rented bikes at Keukenhof and rode around the tulip fields and then went into the park itself around 2pm, and there was no line to get in (compared to the swarm of people when we first got there in the morning). I think you will love both Haarlem and Keukenhof!!
Thank you so much Dawn! I'm traveling with a first timer - First time ever in Europe! Trying not to overload him :)
