keringhuis & Maeslant water center

Without your own transport it is awkward to reach: 1. take train from Rotterdam to Schiedam Centrum; 2. get bus from Schiedam to Hoek van Holland; 3. walk around 45 mins to the information centre.

To get to the station near Keringhuis, use this link - Google Maps public transport - Rotterdam Centraal to Hoek van Holland. Once you get there, you can walk, bike or boat to the Keringhuis Center (see www.keringhuis.nl). According to their website, "the Keringhuis is a 45 minute walk from Hoek van Holland Haven railway station. Taxis are available or you can rent a bicycle in the centre of Hoek van Holland. We also have our own jetty."

Thanks for your answers. I "google" walked the trip. We can do this. I think we will rent bikes and bike out to the Keringhuis and back. And we get to see another town/place that wasn't on our list.

I have found two bicycle rentals in Hoek van Holland, both a few minutes' walk from the station Hoek van Holland Haven: Kleijn and Peter van Leeuwen. Both are in the Prins Hendrikstraat (see map), the first one at number 241 and the latter at number 205.

Thank you for you help. I did find the bike shops and have contacted the Keringhuis for tours, tickets etc. I think we are set to go.
