Indonesian Restaurants

Does anyone know which Indonesian restaurant Rick goes to in his most recent Amsterdam video? Additionally does anyone have any recommendations? Much appreciated!

Is that the 2014 one where he tours and eats with Rolinka? The credits list Restaurant Samo Sebo.

I had Rijsttafel at Kantjil & de Tijger, which is listed in RS Netherlands, and enjoyed it a lot. I can definitely recommend it. But it's the only Indonesian place I went to, so I can't say if it's better or worse than any other place.

My favorite one is Indrapura: It's a great Rijsttafel. The address is Rembrandtplein 42.
Check out their website. They have an early bird special where you get 20/25 % off of your meal (not including drinks) if you finish by 7 pm , I think. Check their website for the correct time.
http://indrapura.nl/?lang=en , is the website.
Enjoy!

I would highly recommend Restaurant Jun. It is in the Jordaan area and is a small place, but the service was very friendly and helpful, and we loved the rijsttafel there. Wherever you end up, enjoy!

If you are by yourself, Sari Citra in De Pijp is recommended. All the food is presented in a case and you pick out what you'd like. It's a great alternative for people by themselves as rijstafels are restricted to parties of 2 or more.

I would recommend that you not dine at Puri Mas. We were not impressed with the rijstaffal and service was average at best. We had a much better meal at Pantry which is in the same neighborhood. Not Indonesian, but good local cuisine with fabulous service!

I'll be in Amsterdam Oct 5 to 8 and in Leiden Oct 9-12. I'd love to try the rice table but since I'll be alone it seems like too much food. I'd love to meet up with others who might be interested in sharing. I'm totally open to time/place.

De De, I'm confused. You have twice recommended a restaurant in this thread, using almost the same words each time, but your other thread says that you are looking for a place to stay for your trip next spring.

Have you actually been to the restaurant?

We ate at K&T last trip and food was okay but I think Tempo Dolo was better with more variety.
