I learned about Pllek, which is housed in a set of shipping containers in an up-and-coming formerly industrial area, from someone in my hometown in Colorado, but when I visited Pllek on a weeknight, it was packed (6 deep at the bar), and every table was reserved for dinner. The ferry ride was free and quick (catch behind the main train station), but the view was underwhelming: a bunch of mostly ugly modern buildings along the riverfront. You couldn't see the old city at all from the ferry. I have no idea if the food is good as I only had a drink and didn't stay long.
