Taking my mom to Amsterdam in January. I know city passes have been very helpful in other big cities as well as this one. I previously used iAmsterdam, but now see there is also the City Pass. Any idea which is better?
Only interested in a 1 or 2 day pass
We have always used the "iAmsterdam" pass-it includes transportation, boat tour, and several museums. I assume you can check it out on line to see if it fits what you want to do. Have no idea how it differs from the City Pass.
The Iamsterdam card is the only "city pass" available. There is the competing countrywide "Holland Pass" which is more expensive doesn't include city transportation but covers more sites. You'll have to crunch the numbers to see which will save you money in the end.
But in general if you see two covered sites per day, and use the tram at least four times a day you save money with the IAmsterdam card.
