How Far is Noordwijk from the Tulip Fields

My sister is thinking of booking us a place in Noordwijk, extending our stay in tulip country. The write-up on the resort, Parc du Soleil, says it's near the beach. She is wondering just how close that would be to the tulip fields, as we are hoping to bike through some tulip fields while there?

It's roughly 1 km from the beach and 5 km from the tulip fields between De Zilk and Lisse. Use OpenStreetMap for more exact orientation (zoom out to see the wider area).

Thanks so much, TomfromLeiden. My sister said it's actually Noordwijkerhout where she's considering booking. It seems to be a lot closer to the tulip fields than Noordwijk, from this map. Also, is that a symbol for reindeer in the red tulip field area? How cool! My sister is afraid to ask the airbnb host how close public transportation is from the airbnb for fear of incurring another inquiry fee. She saw in a review that someone posted that public transportation from Noordwijkerhout is a bit expensive, but we don't know what that means? Any idea?

That reindeer symbol you saw, will stand for the deers in the dunes between the beach and the tulip fields.
The Parc du Soleil is a little bit awkward to reach by public transport. According to the public transport planner 9292.nl (fill out »Kraaierslaan Noordwijkerhout«) there is a frequent bus between Noordwijkerhout and Leiden, but the bus stop would be a stiff 20-minute walk from the accommodation.

If your new accommodation is in Noordwijkerhout itself, the bus stop won't be far.
And the deer are just normal small-sized deer, having the dunes for their habitat.

In my whole life, which is well beyond the 60 yrs mark, I've been to Noordwijkerhout once. WIth the Boy Scouts, I suppose sleeping at a bulb grower's. I imagine it would be better to make breakfast at your B&B, assuming they have a water cooker and a fridge.
Looking around I found a bike rental in the village centre, even with a website.

Thanks for the great info, TomFromLeiden. Glad to hear public transportation is nearby.
