Besides the Hilton and Sheraton, any recommendations for good hotels very near the Amsterdam airport? Have an early flight back to US and would like to be close but not "in" the airport hotels. Thanks

We stayed at the Ibis hotel a couple years ago. A free bus picks you up outside the Schiphol ground floor door and makes a round of nearby hotels. The bus picks you up at the Ibis in the morning. You should have a reservation. We have stayed at quite a few Ibis hotels and that one is by far the nicest. Be sure to gauge your morning return to the airport so you have a two hours 'til flight time. Buy the breakfast at the hotel it seems expensive, but not many places in the airport are open early.

There is a CitizenM Hotel very close to the terminal.
