Does anyone know what hotels are INSIDE the AMS airport??
The Hilton is "attached" to the airport by a walkway.
I stayed at the Hilton in June while in transit and was not impressed! It is technically inside the airport but is actually a fairly long walk down a hallway past some parking garages. When you arrive at the hotel, you are not allowed to bring your luggage cart inside. This wouldn't be too big of an issue, but the front desk is still an escalator ride away and there are no bellman at the entrance to help. I had a lot of luggage as I was bringing two cases of items to friends at my destination. The Hilton has also never seen a fee it didn't like. I had a "free" room here through points and still ended up spending 65 euros.
There is a Sheraton attached directly to the airport, but if I were to stay there again, I would go to the Citizen M hotel. This hotel is a short 1/2 block walk under a covered pathway from the main entrance to the airport. I think it is a much better option and actually involves less walking then the Hilton.

I've stayed at that Citizen M. It was hysterical and fun. The rooms were super-space-age inside and tiny, with pod enclosures that encircle you for the toilet and the shower. I wouldn't share a room there with someone unless you're really comfortable with each other. We hung out in the food bar downstairs in the evening and it was a great people watching spot. Thoroughly enjoyable for a one night stay and a very short stroll to the terminal, just down a walkway.
