Hi - My sister (74) and I (70) will be taking a Riverboat Cruise out of Amsterdam in April. We plan to arrive early and spend 5 nights in Amsterdam. In trying to book a hotel, I'm wondering if you could give me any insight on the following hotels: Holiday Inn Sloterdijk Station, Rho Hotel, Mr. Jordaan Hotel. Has anyone stayed at any of these hotels and would you stay there again? Other recommendations? My sister and I are in good health and can handle a fair amount of walking. We plan to check out several museums, go to Keukenhof Gardens, Canal Cruise and perhaps go to Zaanse Schans. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
This past February my daughter and I were in Amsterdam for a week and stayed at Hotel Estherea. We absolutely loved it! It is right on a canal on a quiet street, yet very central so easily walkable. We never needed to take a tram.
We did this canal cruise, which was recommended by our hotel. You can read more about it if you go to the reviews section and I have a review and trip report there.

We did a few days trips. Loved Gouda and Delft, which we did on our own. We did one tour to Zaanse Schans, Volendam and Marken. I would not recommend that tour, which we booked through Get Your Guide. I have heard good things about other tours to these places, but the one we took we had minimal time in each and felt like we were being herded.
Thanks so much for the information!
