Hello,
I will be taking a cruise out of Rotterdam and will be coming in a couple of days early. I would appreciate any hotel recommendations. Are there any B&B’s in that area?
We stayed at the Hotel New York before our cruise out of Rotterdam in 2024. It was literally across the street from the pier. We walked to the terminal.
And, we were able to walk everywhere in Rotterdam. If you look at a map of the area, the pier is not outside of the city.
If you're asking about Rotterdam, Netherlands, you've posted in the Norway Forum. Is this a Rotterdam (or something spelled similarly) in Norway that you're asking about?
If it is the one in the Netherlands, you may get more Dutch specialists in the Netherlands Forum.
I tend to stay near Rotterdam Centraal in a hotel so can't help with a current Dutch B and B.
if cruising out of Rotterdam, then after the New York Hotel mentioned above, the next most obvious place to stay would be the old SS Rotterdam- https://ssrotterdam.com/
Both places are tied in to the history of the Holland-America Line, thus the passenger liner history of the port.
It isn't that far to walk, but a land taxi is quick, or the stylish way to arrive a water taxi.
It's a bit like Los Angeles- if I happened to be cruising out of there then my first choice of pre-cruise stay would be the Queen Mary, although the Rotterdam is far better maintained than the Queen Mary.
