We are planning a Netherlands/Belgium trip for next May. The following 2 Hotels were recommended. Any thoughts?

Also, I have seen a lot of dialogue regarding Haarlem/Leiden. We are thinking that Amsterdam might be too loud or busy. Based on the above hotel recommendation, does anyone think Haarlem or Leiden would be a better choice? We are in our 70's. Would Leiden be more of a place for the younger set as it's a University town? If either are good, a hotel recommendation would be nice.
